Doll Express
Doll Express was started in 2006 by Sarah’s daughters. They decided they wanted to help other people in the Isle of Man. Each Christmas they make Christmas Decorations and sell them to family and friends. They have raised a lot of money since they started for various causes and are extremely grateful to all those people who continue to support them.
R.N.L.I. Douglas Station - 2006
This was the first year of Doll Express and the girls managed to raise a fantastic £105.00 for the Douglas Branch of the R.N.L.I.
School for Uganda - 2007
The girls wanted to help their teacher at Foxdale School who was raising money to build a school. They raised a brilliant £150 which paid for the architectural drawings. The School has since been built and the children at Foxdale School keep in touch as part of their lessons.
Rebecca House Children's Hospice - 2008
The Doll Express girls raised a superb £250 for Rebecca House. Here they are with Mary Doyle who showed the girls around Rebecca House and explained about the great work that goes on there.
Bunscoill Ghaelgagh - 2009
The girls wanted to help their friend who had leukaemia. Every time he fell in the playground at school he would risk infection. His mum was raising money for a soft play area so helped out. They raised a wonderful £300. Yindissagh!
Isle of Man Breast care - 2010
The girls raised an amazing £400 for this wonderful charity that helps support patients and their families. They presented their cheque to Sharon Maddrell from the charity.
Coronary Care Unit - 2011
In 2011 the girls raised £500 for the Coronary Care Unit at Nobles Hospital.
We sponsor Orla in the Ministox racing at Onchan Raceway. In her first year she came second in the “whites and Yellows” despite breaking her leg half way through the season! She won all 4 races on her 4th ever meeting. Not bad for an eleven year old!
